Pixelated Goods
Assorted sprites made with ProMotion NG.
Most of these were made for my Will-o-Wisp project, but there's some extras thrown in as well.
Will-o-Wisp
Creature design and animation done for an art test. Smoldera, a giant magma slug that makes its home near volcanoes and spits fireballs like a mortar at anyone who gets close.
The Molten King's throne. Part of a furniture set I made for an art test.
A glowing cauldron decoration. Part of a set I made for an art test.
The idle sprite for the robots in Will-o-Wisp. There's two separate spritesheets that the robots switch between: their regular state and their possessed state.
Both versions of the robots' running cycle.
Both versions of the jumping frames. The first two frames play at the start of the jump, and then the last 2 frames play as the robot starts to fall.
From left to right: the possessed crouch state, the regular crouch animation, and the dead robots' sprite.
The Oglebug is one of the enemy critters featured in Will-o-Wisp. It is impervious to attacks unless pinned down by a robot.
The Gobsnack is the other enemy that the player encounters. They hang from the ceiling waiting for unsuspecting meals. Robots that have been swallowed by a gobsnack can't be recovered until the gobsnack is dealt with!
The elevator is the centerpiece of every stage, filling several functions: starting point, checkpoint, safe zone, and ultimately goalpost.
The different sprites that make up the game's interface.
The background image for the levels in Will-o-Wisp. The version on the left is the original image, and it uses the same colors as the ground tiles. The version on the right is the one used in the current build of the game, it was darkened for the sake of maintaining contrast with the foreground.
The tileset used to build the stages in Will-o-Wisp.
Some of the different objects the player can interact with.
An beam-lance weapon type that didn't make it into later versions of the game because it trivialized most puzzles.
