Sketches and Lines
Whips lend themselves to some lovely composition opportunities. Action shot practice.
Angry caimans are my mood.
Close-up of the character from the whip action shot.
This was the final design I went with for the Will-o-Wisp robots. It felt like a happy middle point between cute and innocent, and still resembling a working robot. The antennae were removed, though.
Another unused design for Will-o-Wisp. With this one, I knew I wanted the robots to seem not only cute and innocent, but also powerless. This version was dropped because it was starting to look too much like a child.
One of the initial concepts for the robots in Will-o-Wisp. At the earlier stages, my vision for the game was slightly more focused on combat, which resulted in this design for a heavily armored bot.
A combat mech with exaggerated proportions. Class doodle that I'm still really fond of.
Rohan, an old DnD character.
Robot put together out of scrapped metal parts.
Eris, a demonic temptress.
Sigrid - The lead character for a personal story project. She's easily excitable, and a hard worker, but also quite clumsy.
Concept art of Sigrid's gauntlets, shots of the joints and closer looks on how the artificial fibers dig into her body.
Sigrid springs to action!
Action shots taken from a combat sequence I storyboarded.
Everything's fine! Why? Because I'm here!
A portrait of Agnes, Sigrid's elder sister. They don't get along super well anymore.
Concept for an alien creature. Tall, slender, elegant but also immensely creepy. Probably eccentric nobility.
Another creature concept! Big and burly, not very bright
A mutated, festering rat monster concept.
Concept for a hulking, mutant behemoth.
The second germ villain I designed. They're goofy, comic relief villains and I wanted to convey that with their appearance.
One of two germ villains I designed for a hypothetical animation project titled Sci-Squad.
Cobalt - a frog who loves mixing potions, often to explosive results.
An older version of Cobalt's design, leaning more towards tadpole. Later I decided to take her look in a more cartoony direction, and make her visibly froggy.
An even earlier version of Cobalt.
